Re: The Three Brothers – Granger

Dear Readers,
I just finished The Three Brothers, and honestly… I’m relieved some of that built-up drama finally got laid to rest. It felt like the story exhaled a little, and so did I.
But at the same time, this book didn’t give me closure. It only got me good and ready. Made me want to jump straight into the next one without even thinking.
I was still hooked on Quan. If anything, even more this time. I loved seeing him take on a more active role, especially how protective he was over Isis after “The Date from Hell” that turned into something way bigger, something she came back from without even fully remembering. It felt heavy in a quiet way.
Every character showed up in this book. Nobody felt like background.
Maggie and Namir… I liked the way their relationship unfolded. It didn’t feel rushed. It felt real, like something building instead of being forced.
And then there’s Draco and Maize. Bellamy and—yeah, I’m not even going to say it. Some things you really just need to read for yourself.
Asha’s journey stood out to me too. Watching her start to uncover her history, where she comes from, and seeing her slowly step into that true Drew Collins spirit. it felt like she’s just getting started, like there’s more in her than we’ve even seen yet.
Drew Collins itself? It went through hell in this book. New management came in, and with that always comes a shakeup. Somebody always has to get straightened. You could feel the tension in that shift—the imbalance, the power struggle, all of it.
The pacing stayed consistent with the later books: fast, but not rushed. It kept me turning pages without feeling like I was being dragged through it.
There were twists. A lot of them. But I’m not about to ruin that here. This is one of those stories where you need to experience it yourself. Giving it away wouldn’t do it any justice.
At its core, this book is about power. Who has it. Who wants it. Who’s willing to do whatever it takes to get it. And what it actually costs when you finally do.
Now I’m heading into The Mortal Affairs with questions.
I need to see what happens with Asha and Solomon. That feels like it’s about to go deeper than what we’ve been given.
And Isis and Quan… I’m still waiting for something real to surface there. Something honest, something underneath everything that’s already happened.
But based on that epilogue? Bellamy is about to be everywhere. I can already tell.
I’m not even easing into the next book. I’m going straight in.
