I couldn’t wait to tell you about this one. I’ll be honest, I judged this book straight by its cover and BookTok told me it was a must-read, so I dove right in. No regrets. Rhythm and Channing were an adorable love story from start to finish, and the whole thing was such a quick ride that I read it in one sitting.

The moments that really hooked me were every time Rhythm stood her ground, Daddy Baker stepping in with that protective energy, and Channing basically love-bombing like it was his full-time job. And her friendship with Nique? Loved it.

The pace flowed nicely and the themes hit hard. Love, deceit, karma, and a reminder that the grass is not greener just because you think it is. Meanwhile, Raheem refusing to take no for an answer was absolute crazy work. The whole romance had Lifetime-movie vibes; I knew what was coming the minute Channing pulled up to change his mama’s tire.

Would I recommend it? Yep. It’s a good, fast read when you want drama, sweetness, and a little “I knew it!” along the way.
