Dear Readers,

Now this was a good book !! From the very first page, I was on an emotional rollercoaster. This story doesn’t just touch the surface, it dives deep into real-life issues: divorce and the ripple effect it has on everyone. The couple, the kids, family, and even friends. It made me question: Can you really move on? Should you have even left in the first place? Whew.

She masterfully weaves in themes of forgiveness, jealousy, friendship, grief, and how adults and children both process loss. And let me just say, the way she handled blended families and healing after trauma, including sexual assault, was raw, respectful, and real. You’ll feel it in your chest.

Watching Vin’s growth was amazing, especially as it highlights how missing key developmental years between adolescence and adulthood can lead to unhealthy attachments. And the breakdown of how parental choices shape the lives of their children? Chef’s kiss.💋 This book doesn’t shy away from therapy either — it calls out the excuses people make not to heal and invites you to unpack your own stuff.

Oh! And don’t think I missed that sprinkle of magic in those steamy scenes. 👀 Sis… Takerra did that.

This book isn’t just a story. It’s a mirror, a lesson, and a healing balm all in one. If you’re not ready to feel, reflect, and grow… maybe you ain’t ready for this one.

But if you are — buckle up! You’ll come out better on the other side.
