White Lines III: All Falls Down by Tracy BrownMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
I had to finish this series. No way I was leaving Sunny and Malcolm hanging after that whole Mexico situation. And honestly, I needed closure on Born and Jada, plus Ava and Zion too, because I’ve been rooting for all of them from the jump.
If I had to sum this book up in one word? A lot. And I mean that in a good way. Tracy Brown packed this one with drama, new characters, twists, emotions — whew chile, it was definitely giving everything at once. For me, the first book was the strongest individually, the second deepened the story, and this third one really completed the journey. As a full series, it’s solid.
Sunny stuck with me the most this time. Her storyline had weight. Jada surprised me too — no spoilers, but let’s just say she handled things with a level of grace I personally don’t think I could’ve managed. And Mercedes? Her growth was beautiful to watch. Being pushed into maturity early made her sharp, honest, and fearless — even calling out the adults when needed. She definitely held her own.
I stayed rooting for Jada and Born the entire time because I just wanted that peaceful, happily-ever-after moment for them. Themes like addiction, grief, betrayal, revenge, and forgiveness run heavy throughout the story, and they’re handled in a way that keeps things real without feeling preachy.
The pacing was good overall. Some twists you might see coming, but a few will absolutely catch you off guard. The ending felt satisfying without dragging things out.
My only small gripe: the repeated character descriptions got a little redundant at times (Sunny’s housekeeper, Misa, etc.). Not a dealbreaker — just noticeable.
Overall, easy read, engaging drama, and a strong finish to the series. 4 stars from me.
