Beautiful Broken Love by Shanora WilliamsMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
I love a good romance story—one rooted in beautiful, unequivocal love—and Beautiful Broken Hearts delivered exactly that.
The title is very fitting. Davina, a widow navigating deep grief, finds herself drawn into love again with Deke Bishop, who carries his own version of a broken heart. What stood out most was how thoughtfully each character was developed. The dual perspectives allowed the reader to fully experience their pain, vulnerability, and healing, which made the emotional connection feel real and earned.
Grief was the strongest theme throughout the story, but the author also touched on heavy topics like suicide, domestic abuse, and child abuse. These themes were handled carefully—present and impactful, but never graphic or overwhelming to the point of taking away from the heart of the story.
This book was a true page-turner. I enjoyed it so much that I stayed up all night just to finish. The pacing was solid, the emotional depth was there, and the love story felt genuine and hopeful.
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a good romance with substance and heart.
