Cutthroat by Octavia GrantMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
Finally got around to reading Cutthroat by Octavia Grant — it had been sitting on my Kindle for a minute after someone recommended it, and I’m glad I picked it up.
It didn’t hook me instantly, but once it got going, I was locked in. Definitely a fast read — knocked it out in about 2½–3 hours. Eden though? Whew. A whole force to be reckoned with. I never fully knew what she had planned, and honestly… I would NOT have guessed how things played out.
The biggest themes that stood out to me were betrayal, revenge, vengeance, and childhood trauma. Plenty of twists too, but I’ll keep that cute and spoiler-free for future readers.
And Jermaine? Let’s just say he FAFO — if you know, you know 😂
Overall, this was a quick, entertaining read. Perfect if you want drama, tension, and something you can finish in one sitting.
